How do Free Agents get assigned to a team?
Free Agents are assigned based on their own needs, the needs of other teams in their league, and the needs of the league. Free Agents that have requested to play together will be accommodated, and team captains who request additional players will be accommodated whenever possible. Most nights also have a team dedicated to Free Agents. When there is a conflict between requests, the needs of the Free Agent team will come before requests for players from team captains.
There are two methods by which multiple Free Agents can request to be on the same team together. If they register on the same invoice, they will automatically be placed on the same team. If that is not an option, they can register separately and email us will the names of all the players, and we will place you together on one team.
I've registered, now what do I do?
You are officially registered for an XTSC sport when you have registered and paid for your registration on-line at our website. When it comes to notification, 'no news is good news.' We will contact you only if we are not able to accommodate your registration. Otherwise, you will receive an e-mail approximately one week before the start of your league with the location, schedule and other league information (including team assignment for Free Agents).
If you are a team captain, please email us at info@xtsc.ca with your team name and roster information (player names and email addresses).
How do I reach the Schedules and Standings?
When you log in to the Player's Lounge, several new buttons will appear, one of which is Current Players. From there, you will be able to access schedules, standings, and team pictures and bios from you and your competition!
I am not able to finish the season. Can I get a refund?
As per XTSC policy, no refunds are given after the second week of the season. From the beginning of the league to the second week, only a 50% refund can be given. However, please keep in mind that you can always sell your spot to an interested person of the same gender (to fulfill the gender requirements). If you choose to do so, you must notify the league immediately and you and the incoming person are responsible for handling any financial transaction that may occur.
I received a yellow card in my last game. What happens now?
If it is your first yellow card, take it as a warning that your play can get too aggressive and you need to tone it down. If you have received two yellow cards, you need to take the warning to heart as you are nearing possible expulsion from the league. If you receive more than two yellow cards in one season, XTSC Administration will review your case and may suspend or expel you from the league. Two yellow cards in one game are equal to a red card - please see the red card topic.
I received a red card in my last game. What happens now?
If you received a red card, you are suspended from the game in which the offence occurred as well as the game the following week. Your team will have to play short for the game in which the offense occurred, but is not required to play short in the following game. XTSC will review the incident and determine if further action will be necessary (including, but not limited to, longer suspension or expulsion). Unacceptable actions include, but are not limited to, fouls with an intent to injure, abuse of XTSC staff and physical or verbal violence.
What are XTSC Loyalty Points, and how do I use them?
XTSC Loyalty Points are a way for us to say thank you to our returning players. For every two dollars spent on the website (and paid for on the website by credit card), we issue one Loyalty Point, a value of $0.10. That translates to a 5% discount! These points can be redeemed on-line at our store or used to discount future on-line registrations. When purchasing, the invoice will indicate how many Loyalty Points are available to be used and how many have been redeemed on that purchase so far. XTSC Loyalty Points are non-transferable and can not be used on the invoice that they are earned on.
Where will I be playing?
Locations will not be determined until after registration has closed, and we can not guarantee that locations will be the same as the previous season. XTSC has two main location divisions, which you can choose between while registering. With very few exceptions, your games will be played at the same locations throughout the season. If there is a conflict at a venue, we may play that game at a different location. When that occurs, we will give the affected teams as much notice as possible. Some leagues have games that are split between two locations. If so, the location information for each game will be on the schedule that is distributed before the league starts.
How do I submit my team name and roster?
After you have registered and paid your registration fee, please email us at info@xtsc.ca with your team name and roster, including the names and e-mail addresses of your team members, so that we can ensure all of your team members receive the appropriate schedule, location and league information.
What's my login id and password?
Your login id is the email address that XTSC has on file, and the password was chosen when your account was created. Your password can be changed at any time after you have logged in. Not sure what your password is? You can use the retrieval link and an automated message will be sent out. If you don't receive it right away, please check your spam folder - and if it's not there, email us at info@xtsc.ca and we'll be happy to help you out.
We don't have enough players for a team. How can we make sure we'll play together?
You can do one of two things. The simplest way is to all register on the same invoice (you'll be asked to enter everyone's names and contact information during the registration process). If that isn't an option, you can all register separately and e-mail us (info@xtsc.ca) the names of the people who wish to be placed together.
I was going to register for a sport, but the amount came up as $0. What does that mean?
If the sport you were registering for has a zero amount, it is not being offered in that particular quantity. There are times that a sport is only
being offered for free agents or for teams - in that case, the other category will be listed as $0 and any registrations
made for that quantity would not be finalized.
